A Sweet Beginning

We went to Sea World the day after Christmas and had a great time!

Our hotel had a lake and shopping area behind and around it with an awesome walking path!

We enjoyed happy hour at the hotel and loved all of the Christmas decorations :)

Such a fun trip!  

We are so grateful that we get to have little weekend getaways every now and then.  Now one more week of relaxing before it's back to school!!

We have had a wonderful few days together leading up to Christmas!  We went around the neighborhood looking at lights many times, made a Christmas Canvas with Ava, baked Grandma Lo's Christmas Candy, and even decorated a gingerbread house!  Through it all, we have remembered the real reason for the season - we can give to others because Jesus has given to us!

We went to see Santa this weekend!  Ava was so excited walking into Bass Pro!

Matt walked around with her while I waited in line and he showed her Santa a few times to try and warm her up.

She ended up panicking and would not sit with Santa so the whole family got in the picture :)

She has been talking about him a lot this year, so hopefully next year we get a smile!

We are so excited that December is here and it is almost Christmas!  We went and picked out our tree the night before Thanksgiving and made sure it had a nice top this year :)

We let the tree set for a couple of days and decorated it Saturday night while watching the Grinch!

This year Ava got a Doc McStuffins ornament, Matt got a skillet with breakfast because he makes the best breakfast ever, and I got a sparkly heart.  We also got an ornament last Spring when we went to Disney for the first time.

 Here are a few of the other decorations from around the house.  The "LOVE" sign is our new decoration this year from Target!

My shopping is done, most of my presents are wrapped, and I can't wait to just enjoy the month with these two.
