This week was a very hard, very long week. I had the worst week at work that I have probably ever had, and yes, it was only a 4 day work week. Everything is just piling up and people are just being nasty. In addition, the one night Matt wasn't out of town or at work super late, I was at work really late, so we hardly saw each other and are having trouble getting back into a groove. I have been beating myself up and just feeling stressed the past couple weeks (that's what I get for posting in my new year's post that I was the most relaxed I had been in awhile) so I'm looking forward to what is hopefully a much better week next week! Some school years are just easier than others, and I am counting down the days until this one ends (78 by the way).
One thing that has been a fun distraction, but possibly part of the problem, is our tile project. We relaxed pretty much all of Christmas break, and then jumped right back into work, school, a schedule, and house projects all at the same time! I love our house projects, but at some point every single time, I get overwhelmed with the chaos in my house.
Matt and I have a list of projects we would love to eventually complete on our house. One of them, is new tile. The current tile has a few cracks in each room and the grout is practically gone in many spots. Since it is a pretty big project, we started with the smallest tile area in our house - the entry way.
Before:
Matt worked very hard on this project!
All of the tile is chipped away and gone!
He somehow didn't know that he had cut his face?!?
New tile down with spacers:
Ava helped wipe the tile :)
Almost finished:
Finished and everything is back in it's place - including Ava's hand prints on the mirror!
And since we can't just do one thing at a time, I'm off to help finish up the next project :)
