Lakes Park!

We went to Lakes Park last night to get our pumpkins and ride the train!  The line for the train was super long, so Matt and Ava went to play on the playground first :)

We rode the train, picked out our pumpkins, and got a glow toy for Ava.  We went to Perkins for dinner and as Ava put it, "that food made me really tired".  We got home and went straight to bed.  Such a fun night!

Boo at the Zoo

We went back to Naples Zoo this Fall for Boo at the Zoo!  The weather was in the 70s and it was a great day to be outside.  Our favorite activity again this year was feeding the giraffes.

Here we are last year at the zoo:

Life Lately

We had a family date night at Miromar last Thursday!  We went to our favorite pizza place for dinner and then got some chocolates from Norman Love!

Next we went to Bass Pro Shops so Matt could get some things for his hunting trip!  Ava loves playing in the tents :)

Matt was hunting all weekend so just Ava and I went to my school's Fall Fun Festival!

It's so hard to believe she will be in Kindergarten next year!  We had a fun weekend but are so happy we get to spend this weekend with Matt.

Weekend Fun

Matt went hunting last weekend and took this picture from his tree stand.

While he was hunting, Ava and I went to Chick Fil A, went shopping at Target, and went swimming at Jill's house!

We had Monday off school for Rosh Hashanah so we went to the beach!

Ava was chosen to bring home Trevor, her class mascot, this weekend and we took him to the park.

August & September Books

My favorite book since back to school was Best. State. Ever.

People like to make fun of this state but I learned some things about Florida and laughed a lot while reading this book .

I read two books by people on television that I don't know/watch but loved their books!  Jill Kargman's book was full of funny stories about her life and Elizabeth Vargas told about her panic and anxiety as a child and how she became an alcoholic (and then recovered) because of it.

The Status of All Things was about a girl who discovers she can control what happens in life by updating her facebook status.  It was a light read with reminders that we should be true to ourselves in person and online :)

I was so excited when this next book released but it was probably my least favorite Liane Moriarty book.  I'm not sure why - I just didn't enjoy it as much.

I read two super funny books that I would recommend!

I saw Love Warrior out as a new release and decided I would go and read the author's first book before starting this one.  I loved them both and could relate to many parts.  I always feel better about my own struggles/weaknesses when I hear that other people feel the same way.

Lakes Park

We went to Lakes Park last weekend for some fun in the sun!  We have been going here for years and I just looked through old pictures of Ava playing at this park and definitely cried.

Babies do not keep...
