June Books

This was the first book in a series of 3.  It was hard to keep up with the different character/family names but it was a fun read.

I loved this book!  It was written by Jackie Kennedy's personal assistant and shared a lot about the Kennedy family personal life and also what it was like to work for their family.

I love Elin Hilderbrand books.  This one was about two identical twin sisters who switch lives for the summer.

This was a fun book about all of the different roles women take on.

This is a funny book with stories and observations about parenting.  The author celebrates mediocre parenting in comparison to perfect parenting.

Life Lately

Ava has been working on writing her last name this Summer :)

We have had so much rain!  Seriously, we have only been able to swim once this entire summer break because it rains all day every day!  The lake out back is so high!

We went to Olive Garden recently and Ava loved it!

The entire family did some painting last weekend :)

Ava and I saw Rapunzel last week at Broadway Palm - so much fun!

We have loved being home with Bella and Brady all day!

Father's Day Weekend we swam on Saturday and went to Game Time and Red Robin on Sunday.

Ava loves her dad so much and won this turtle ring for him.

Happy Father's Day Matt!  We are so thankful for you!

First Hair Cut

Ava got her first hair cut yesterday and she loves it!  The days leading up to it held mixed emotions - she was mostly excited until we got there - then she was very nervous.  I walked her around the salon before we started but she still refused to go back.  Alex was super sweet and cut her hair right next to the front door, haha :)

I have been going to see Alex for years and told Ava about the time she was in my tummy and I wasn't feeling well and went and stood on the sidewalk outside of the salon with foils in my hair to cool off :)

When she woke up this morning she said, "Yes! My hair is still short!"
