August Books


This book was a novel about a celebrity chef who gets hacked and her secrets are exposed.  It was a quick read that I enjoyed.


I loved this novel about two sisters and their relationships with the men in their life.


This story line didn't seem completely believable to me but it is about two couples who vacation together every year even though 2 of the characters were formerly a couple.


I love Jen Lancaster's books and this one is a collection of hilarious essays on various topics.

Kindergarten!

 Somehow our baby is now in Kindergarten!  Ava has been in school for a week now and is still warming up to a few things but doing great!  We are so proud of her :)


I work the parent drop off line in the morning so I saw her and Matt when he was bringing her to school on the first day!



 Matt walked her to class and got her set up for the day :)


I went to see her at lunch - she has been eating so much from all her hard work!


When I saw her at the end of the day she said, "Do you work here?"


We are so thankful that Ava loves her teacher.  She talks about him every night :)



We have had some relaxing weekends at home while we get back in the swing of things :)

We had a fun family night at the park recently, too!







I can tell this year is going to be great!

Sweet Summertime!

Today is my last day of summer break!  I'm back to work tomorrow and then Ava starts next Thursday.  We had a great summer at home with lots of sunshine and lazy time with the pups :)
