This book of essays by a writer and comedian talked about modern issues for women and social responsibility for comedians. I enjoyed her perspective and felt the confidence to be who I am after reading.
This fiction book about motherhood is funny and lighthearted while making fun of the ridiculous expectations placed on motherhood at times. I have felt "mommy-shamed" before and can imagine that all mothers can relate to at least one of the main character's experiences.
I love The Bachelor and was excited to read Andi Dorfman's second book. At times I felt like she was making up stories in order to be more like Carrie Bradshaw in SATC. I liked her first book better, but always enjoy reading insider information from The Bachelor.
As a teacher, I usually think of the beginning of September as "the new year" but also love resetting the house after the holidays. This book was definitely simple and I honestly didn't learn any new ideas, but I love to read and the style of her writing is enjoyable. I use her planner and love it but so far her books don't really teach me anything I don't already know.
