I didn't finish any of the books that I started reading in February and then started a few more in March. I finally finished them all in April!
I watch Vanderpump Rules and am pretty basic myself so quickly read through this book. I thought that her stories were very entertaining and loved that at the end of the day she just encouraged everyone to be themselves and not be embarrassed by what they are naturally interested in.
This book was so interesting! I have never watched the View regularly but knew of the different co-hosts and loved reading about what went on behind the scenes. It was a very juicy read!
In elementary school I wanted to be a news reporter and have always been fascinated by being on camera. I love reading about careers in television and Janice Dean shared a lot of both personal and workplace stories. She is a great storyteller and I am always in awe of how television anchors can smile on-camera when things off-camera aren't going well.
This book is a memoir written about the author's anxiety over her relationship with consumption and appearance. She talks about how trauma from years ago has impacted her life. Because I hear about a lot of trauma related situations at work it took me awhile to get through this one.
I loved this memoir about working as a maid and hope that it brings awareness to the profession. I know that I now realize that so many housekeepers are overworked and underpaid. Her relationships with her clients were intriguing and I love that she realized that the grass isn't always greener on the other side.
One of my favorite authors reviewed and loved this book so I was excited to read it. The author was raised Jewish, became a Christian, and later became a missionary with her family. It was interesting to hear about her personal experiences living abroad as a missionary and she raised a lot of good points about missionaries not being as helpful to an area as they claim to be.
