July Books

This book is a true story about a con artist who poses as a German heiress.  I felt terribly sorry for the Vanity Fair photo editor who befriended her and ended up getting scammed but it was such an interesting story.  It is accurately described on Amazon as "Sex and the City meets Catch Me if You Can".

This memoir is about a Jehovah's Witness who moves to China to share her message.  She eventually leaves the religion without an education or the support of her family.

I read all 3 books in the Peachtree Bluff Series this month.  I love southern fiction and this series is about 3 daughters and their mother, which is something I relate to.  The plot includes the perfect amount of southern charm, drama and love.

Written by a female comedy writer,  this book was all about the author's journey working and writing for popular television shows, comedians and other famous people.  I love reading about women succeeding in male dominated professions and it was very interesting and inspiring.
