Quarantine

Wow! What an interesting couple months it has been.  I can't believe our last "normal" day was March 12th and we are now only a few days away from June.  Matt has continued to go to work but Ava and I have been at home almost every day since then.  She has had a good attitude about her classwork and loves her nightly zooms with her class.  She read many books out loud to her class and we are so thankful for her teacher!  She hasn't been as thrilled about taking dance class on zoom but I don't blame her :) She has mastered her back walkover during quarantine and we celebrated dance recital day with a drive-by parade at the studio owner's house.  We have been on lots of bike rides around the community and are so thankful for neighbor friends who also go to our school.  We have been able to enjoy the boat, play lots of board games and are loving the daily snuggles with Bella and Brady.  Lo and D still came down for their Spring trip to FL and after Grandpa Carr passed away we made the trip to IN for a weekend.  Our mental health would not be in the same good place today if not given the chance to see family.  We are thankful for our health and safety!

Mother's Day

Matt and Ava sure spoiled me this year for Mother's Day.  When I woke up I noticed that Ava had put the sweetest card ever on my nightstand.  When I got to the kitchen I realized that she had taped family pictures all over for me to look at.  She even wrote and sang me a song :)  Matt cooked steak and lobster for dinner and we had some sangria.  Best Day Ever!
